1．Hear可以和許多介詞組成短語動詞，這里為大家介紹兩個常用的。
（1）hear about聽說、得知，如：
Ive just heard about his illness.
我剛聽說他生病的事。
（2）hear from收到的信或電報，如：
I havent heard from him since he telephoned.
自從那次他來電話后,我一直沒有收到他的來信。
短語hear of也有聽說的意思，那么和hear about的區(qū)別在哪里呢？請看下面兩個例子：
Have you heard about the accident?
你聽說那場事故了嗎？
I havent heard of her for a long time.
我好久沒有她的消息了。
也就是說，hear about后常接事件之類的名詞，而hear of后則常接人或事物。
2．Amazing
在西方人的口中，表示驚訝，經常可以聽到amazing這個詞。如果有些事情發(fā)生得出乎意料，難以置信，就可以用amazing來形容。比如：
It was amazing that the boy was able to solve the problem so quickly.
那男孩能這樣快地解完這道題,真是令人驚奇。
有些漂亮或另類的東西，總能吸引許多眼球，就可以說是amazing things，如：
I am always looking for new and amazing items.
我總是在尋找讓我眼前一亮的新東西。
